ARTISTIC DIRECTOR: ALYCE KEAGGY BRINKMANN                    


PASG Director Alyce Keaggy Brinkmann danced professionally for Milwaukee Ballet Company for 13 years, beginning in 1983. She was promoted to soloist in 1986 by Artistic Director Basil Thompson. She has been on faculty with Milwaukee Ballet in past years, and again in 2006 is a current faculty member of Milwaukee School of Ballet.

Mrs. Brinkmann's professional training began on scholarship at the Ruth Page Foundation of Chicago, under Director and nationally acclaimed Ballet Master Larry Long. Under Mr. Long's direction, she performed with the Chicago Tribune Charities in "The Nutcracker" for four years, prior to joining Milwaukee Ballet.

Additionally, Mrs. Brinkmann trained as a scholarship apprentice with Lyric Opera Ballet of Chicago, under the direction of Maria Tallchief. She has also studied and worked with such notable Ballet Masters as Elena Tchernichova, Victoria Simon, Lupe Serrano and Kelly Brown.

Mrs. Brinkmann has toured nationally and internationally with the Milwaukee Ballet/Pennsylvania Ballet, and with Williams/Gerard Productions of New York, where she performed as a principal dancer in the Munich, Germany tour.

She founded her own dance school, Performing Arts of Spring Grove, in 1999, and then founded its non-profit performing company, Illinois Youth Dance Theatre, in 2000.
